Yankton has 8 miles of paved and lighted trails throughout the city, with an additional twenty miles of trails leading to and along the scenic Lake Yankton and Lewis and Clark Lake. A multi-use trail for equestrian riders, hikers, and mountain bikers is located in the Gavins Point section of the Lewis & Clark State Recreation Area.
So when you visit Yankton, whether you are a bicyclist, walker, runner or hiker, you’ll be able to enjoy many fine moments on the city’s trails. |

One public course and one private golf course are available for golfing enthusiasts in Yankton. Fox Run Municipal Golf Course on the northwest part of the city is an 18-hole course with residences located on it. It has over 6,792 yards with a par of 72.
Hillcrest Golf & Country Club at 2206 Mulberry is also 18 holes, over 6,874 yards from the longest tees with a par of 72. In addition to Yankton's two golf courses, there are eight others within 32 miles (that means less than a half hour drive!)
